Mark your agendas because the Drupal project got a developer room at FOSDEM on Sunday, February 8, 2009. FOSDEM, which stands for Free and Open Source Developers' European Meeting, is a yearly free and non-commercial event for the open source community, held in Brussels (Belgium). With more than 3,000 attendees coming from all over the world, FOSDEM is the biggest open source event in Europe.

Our goal is to use the developer room to meet, discuss, and talk about Drupal. Right now, we're looking for speakers so let us know in the FOSDEM 2009 group if you want to give a presentation. Or, if you want me to present about a specific topic, you can let me know in the comments of this post. I'm always looking for good ideas. Hope to see you at FOSDEM 2009!

Dries, it would be fab if you could do a general presentation at FOSDEM 2009 about what is cooking in Drupal-land.

It could be a lightly updated state-of-Drupal as you did in Szeged or a presentation with glimpses of what you're gonna present in DC.

Either way it would be good to let everyone know that you'll be present in Brussels on February 8. Your presentation would be the icing on the cake of our already promising schedule.

Dries:

Hello Boris, I'll be at FOSDEM and I'd be happy to present as well. I'll update the wiki page on groups.drupal.org. Thanks for reminding me.

Dries, it would be great if you could do a presentation on Drupal 7 and what the impact is of being the Drupal version that has the longest development cycle ever.

I wish you and your family all the best for 2009, and lots of joy with Axl's little brother or sister. :)

Dries:

Hello Wim, I just updated the wiki on groups.drupal.org. I saw that Robert Douglas was already planning to talk about Drupal 7. I could focus on the history of Drupal, and then I could hand it off to Robert ... or maybe I should consider a completely different presentation. Suggestions are still welcome.
